Biography

Mr. George Dionysopoulos has graduated Athens Law School (LL.B), as well as Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (Master (LL.M) and PhD in Law) with scholarship awarded by the John S. Latsis Foundation. In addition, Mr. Dionysopoulos has obtained a Master’s degree (Msc) in Banking and is currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Program (Msc) in International Negotiations at the University of Economics and Business. He specializes in commercial, contract, consumer, Tach & lT law and has advised clients in a wide range of industries, including aviation, software, telecommunications, agri-business, consumer products, and financial services. Mr. Dionysopoulos has been a member of Athens Bar Association, since 2003 and today is a Supreme Court lawyer. He is member of the Greek Consumer Protection Law Association since 2013. He has worked for Heussen/ PricewaterhouseCoopers law firm in Munich as well as for renowned law firms in Athens. He served as lawyer to Olympic Airlines as well as for a major FinTech company. Mr. Dionysopoulos has been appointed as Legal Advisor to the Secretary General for Commerce and Consumer Protection as well as Legal Advisor to the Alternate Minister for Environment and Energy and to the Alternate Minister of Rural Development and Food. He is currently Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Development and Investments (Consumer Policy Directorate). He is fluent in English and German and speaks also French, Spanish and Turkish.
